The Civil Division of the Pittsylvania County Clerk of Circuit Court's Office provides a variety of civil services and manages civil cases.

Civil cases are disputes between individuals, entities or groups (companies and organizations). Civil cases typically involve matters of monetary damages arising from a civil wrong (such as a tort or breach of contract). Civil cases also include divorces, name changes, concealed handgun permits, and marriage license applications.
