Boards and Commissions
Pittsylvania County is governed by the seven-member Board of Supervisors, each of whom serve specific districts and are elected for four-year terms. While the Board of Supervisors is the primary governing body for all things local government, there are many boards and commissions that serve in advisory roles and even make decisions in areas such as zoning, public safety, human services, and economic development.
