Pittsylvania County is home to three towns. Located directly in the center of the County, Chatham serves as the seat of Pittsylvania County government. Continuing north along Route 29, you'll pass through Gretna and then Hurt. 

Residents of these towns must adhere to Pittsylvania County codes and regulations and pay County taxes, but each town can also impose its own rules and taxes.
