In Pittsylvania County, a permit is required to conduct an aerial fireworks display. The Fire Marshal's Office receives these permit applications and works with the people/entities applying. There is a $100.00 permit application fee.

To obtain an aerial fireworks permit, 

• Download the aerial fireworks permit application 
• Mail it (along with all of the required attachments and a $100 check or money order made out the Pittsylvania County Treasurer's Office) OR 
• Deliver it, along with all necessary attachments and a check, in person to the Pittsylvania County Public Safety Office, located at 110 Old Chatham Elem Lane Chatham, VA 24531. We are open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
