Pittsylvania County Parks and Recreation operates a variety of indoor and outdoor rental spaces and facilities. Please call our office at 434-432-7736 to check about rental space availability. You can also complete a rental application for our shelters or an application for the Community Center. 

Community Center Rentable Spaces 

The Pittsylvania County Community Center has several rentable spaces to fit a variety of needs. The Community Center can host trainings, meetings, parties, events, and sports practices, among other things. You can view the full Community Center rental brochure. 

The Art Studio offers the ideal setting for creativity, including built in storage for art materials, tiled floor for messy projects, several fold-away art tables. This room is great for very small functions or meetings. Rates for the Art Studio start at $50 for 4 hours plus set up fees.

The Gallery Room is just over 1,400 square feet. It includes seating for 52, two public access computers, cabinetry and sink for small scale beverage service for meetings, room darkening shades for presentations, and is fully equipped to meet various multi-media needs. This room is our most rented room and is great for parties, receptions, showers, meetings, etc. Rates for the Gallery Room start at $140 for 4 hours plus set up fees and a $50 refundable security deposit.

The Grand Hall has 2,520 square feet of space. It can seat approximately 175 people theater style and just under 100 at tables. This room is great for large gatherings and is adjacent to the Gallery Room. Rates for the Grand Hall start at $160 for 4 hours plus set up fees and a $100 refundable security deposit.

The Gymnasium is a full size basketball court which includes a rubberized floor, bleacher seating for 100, electric retractable and telescopic regulation height goals, telescopic backboard and an indoor volleyball system built into the floor. The gym seats 450 people theatre style and 200 at 25 tables of 8. Rates for the Gymnasium start at $340 for 4 hours plus set up fees and a $100 refundable security deposit.

Park Rentals

Wayside Park and each of Pittsylvania County’s Middle School parks have rentable outdoor spaces, including pavilions, shelters, and a stage.
