Voter Guide for the November 5, 2024 General Election

There are a variety of ways to register to vote in Pittsylvania County. The deadline to complete your registration - or modify your existing voting registration - is 21 days before the election. You must report any changes to your name or address to remain a qualified voter.  

You can register to vote in Virginia if you meet the following requirements:

• You are a resident of Virginia
• You are a citizen of the United States
• You are at least 18 years of age by the next November general election
• You are not registered/planning to vote in another state
• You are not currently declared mentally incompetent by a court of law
• If convicted of a felony, your right to vote must have been restored
