Many employers require background checks, and part of that process can include the running of fingerprints.

You can get your fingerprints taken at the Pittsylvania County Sheriff's Office Monday through Friday, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

You do not need to make an appointment. You can show up and provide the employer's information to get your prints taken. You can expect to complete the process in about 30 or 40 minutes. 

There is a $5 fee that must be paid either with the exact amount of cash or a money order. You will need a picture identification that contains your signature and an expiration date (i.e. driver's license or passport).
