Planning the Future of Parks and Recreation in Pittsylvania County

Pittsylvania County is now updating its 2010 Parks and Recreation Master Plan, a process that needs input and ideas from residents and stakeholders.

To assist the County with this effort, the Board of Supervisors has partnered with BerryDunn, a full-service consulting firm that works in the areas of parks, recreation and libraries.

To better reach our residents and stakeholders, BerryDunn has set up a Social Pinpoint site designed to engage the public in this process. The site contains several ways to do this, and all are designed to generate ideas and suggestions about the County’s parks and recreation offerings now and in the future.

The Social Pinpoint site also provides information on the master planning process, the phases of the project and what the plan will be used for in the future. Ultimately, the updated plan will be used to assist the Department of Parks and Recreation, as well as the Board of Supervisors, in moving forward with potential programs, activities and facilities.
