Black and White LOVE Letters on a brick wall

Chatham boasts a unique LOVEworks sign in that it is a painted mural rather than a stand-alone sculpture. The black and white LOVEworks mural is located on the wall of the Commonwealth Pharmacy building and in front of Studio 29 Salon.
Sponsored by Deborah Haymes, owner of Studio 29 Salon, the mural was designed and painted by Sydney Lane Ravary. The “L” says “You are so loved here,” and is designed to remind people why those choose Chatham to live or visit. The “O” includes significant buildings in Chatham’s history – Chatham Hall, Hargrave Military Academy, the old Chatham Trolley Car, the Courthouse clocktower and Competition Alley. The “V” encompasses the Commonwealth of Virginia, and the “E” is simply vertical stripes. The sign represents a collaboration between Commonwealth Pharmacy, Studio 29 Salon and Lane Paper Works, which is owned by Ravary. T-shirts featuring the mural are for sale at the Pruden and Main Boutique.

The Chatham LOVEworks is located at located at 17 S. Main St. in Chatham.
