Pittsylvania County Parks and Recreation has public parks at each of the four local middle schools. With amenities like picnic shelters, playgrounds, and athletic fields, each of these parks are a great space for outdoor recreation.

In the northern end of the county, Wayside Park offers something for everybody. Its amenities include a historical swinging bridge over Sycamore Creek, walking trails in the woods, a destination playground, an amphitheater, and a pavilion with picnic options.
