Pittsylvania County Public Safety, in partnership with many other area organizations and our volunteer fire and rescue agencies, puts on a variety of training opportunities for current and aspiring Fire and EMS personnel and volunteers. Keep up with all upcoming training and certification opportunities below. 

Oftentimes volunteer agencies will sponsor the cost of their members completing training and obtaining certifications. If you are with a local volunteer agency, be sure to discuss sponsorship with the agency leadership.

NAEMT GEMS (Geriatric Education for EMS) Class

Mount Cross Volunteer Fire Department is hosting a NAEMT GEMS (Geriatric Education for EMS) Class. This class is focused on assessments and special challenges regarding the geriatric population.
