1. Where do I register to vote?

Register to vote at the General Registrar's Office Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. located at:
110 Old Chatham Elementary Lane
Chatham, VA 24531

4. Options for voting? (Who can vote absentee)

Any registered voter may vote early in person on a voting machine at the Election and Training Center, located at the 18 Depot Street (Route 57 W) in downtown, Chatham. Early Voting beginning 45 days before every election, including the 2 Saturdays prior to election day as well.  

5. How do I apply for an absentee ballot?

If you have a Virginia issued Driver’s License or State ID, you may complete an absentee application online. Visit vote.elections.virginia.gov/VoterInformation. Follow the prompts to apply to vote absentee by mail.

The deadline to apply for a ballot by mail is 11 days prior to Election Day. 

6. How do military and overseas voters apply for an absentee ballot?

All military and overseas citizens should complete the Federal Post Card Application (FPCA) to request an absentee ballot. Additional information for military and overseas voters can be found on the State Board of Elections website.
