Pittsylvania Pet Center to Host Food Pantry

Pet Food Pantry Graphic - November 19

Through a partnership with GreaterGood®, the Pittsylvania Pet Center will be holding a Pet Food Pantry on Friday, November 19. A donation of $10 can get 50 pounds of pet food.

Pittsylvania Pet Center Director Brent Weinkauf stated, “All of us at the Pittsylvania Pet Center couldn't be more excited to provide our community and faithful supporters this great opportunity to ensure all of the animals in Pittsylvania County have food.”

All of the proceeds will be used for emergency care and a new bathtub for washing the animals in the care of the Pittsylvania Pet Center.

While the County does provide funding for general operating costs, the Pittsylvania Pet Center relies on donations and fundraising for unexpected medical costs and other situations. That's why the Pittsylvania Pet Center partners with many organizations and nonprofits to improve services to better serve County residents and animals. GreaterGood® provided 42,000 pounds of pet food to the Pet Center for a nominal fee, and the Pet Center is using that to make a difference in our local community.

No appointment is needed for the food pantry. Anyone who is interested can arrive at the Pet Center (located at 11880 US-29, Chatham, VA 24531) anytime between 1 PM and 4 PM on November 19. Someone could also make a donation to sponsor others who are in need. Donations can be made in person at the Pittsylvania Pet Center or via PayPal

GreaterGood® Charities is an independent 501(c)(3) charitable organization devoted to improving the health and well-being of people, pets, and the planet. In addition to creating and operating a suite of programs, Greater Good Charities has given over $350 million in cash and product grants to charity partners and programs worldwide.
