Many Pittsylvania County residents have experienced negative economic impacts as a result of COVID-19. Customers of the Service Authority can now apply for utility relief for unpaid water and wastewater bills incurred between March 1 and December 30.
The Pittsylvania County Service Authority received $13,773.73 in CARES Act funds from the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development to be used as customer relief. Both residential and non-residential customers who have experienced the economic impact of COVID-19 can apply for these funds.
The relief funds can be used:
You can fill out the online form, or you can print out the paper form and fax, mail, or deliver it to Pittsylvania County Public Works, which oversees the Pittsylvania County Service Authority. The Service Authority serves over 3,000 customers, providing water and wastewater services in segments of Pittsylvania County.
The deadline for Pittsylvania County Service Authority customers to apply for these utility relief funds is Jan. 22, 2021.
